Roberto Carlos: This my last season at Real Madrid
Roberto Carlos admits this will be his last season at Real Madrid.
The Brazilian wing-back, who was caught out for Roy Makaay's shock opener for Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, said: "It is the moment for change, I have spoken with (sports director Pedja) Mijatovic and the president and I will leave.
"I am not going to renew my contract. It is my decision. Just as I made the decision to stay last year, now it's my choice to leave. I have three or four years left in football and want to play at the top, I do not know if in Brazil, Qatar or wherever. I do not want to deceive the Madridismo. It is better to leave Real Madrid now and to think a little more about my life."
On his performance against Bayern, Roberto Carlos was brutally honest: "After the game, I felt very bad, I chose to talk to the necessary people and it is time to finish my sporting life at Real Madrid."
