Mido to stay at Spurs
By Danny Griffiths for THEspursweb.com MIDO has insisted he will play for Spurs next season and has laughed off reports he is heading back to Roma.
The Egypt international started his 18 month loan spell with two goals in a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth at the beginning of February but failed to make the expected impact after that.
He also missed the end of season tour to Mauritius and furious coach Martin Jol was reputed to be happy to send him back to Serie A even though he has a year of his loan spell remaining.
But Mido, who scored a hat-trick for his country in a warm-up game before Friday's World Cup qualifier with the Ivory Coast, said: "I am sure I am going to stay with Spurs. The coach told me he does not want to let me play elsewhere." |
