Fulham boss Chris Coleman fears losing on-loan Roma striker Vincenzo Montella to a Premiership rival in the summer.
"It will come down to finances," he said. "The odds are that it won't happen."
Tottenham, West Ham and Aston Villa are already being linked with a bid for the Roma star - who earns in excess of ?70,000-a-week.

Coleman cautious over Montella
Fulham boss Chris Coleman is wary of exposing striker Vincenzo Montella to too much Premiership football until he regains full match fitness.
Following long bouts of inactivity with Roma, the former Italy striker has flourished since moving to Craven Cottage.
But Coleman has warned the striker could suffer from the pace and physical demands of the Premiership.
"People will say that if we start him and he plays longer, there'll be more chance of him scoring," Coleman told the club's official website.
"The physical game in the Premiership is like no other so we've got to look after him and use him at the right moment. He usually gets a chance and he normally scores a goal.
"The first half of a game in the Premiership is usually more frantic than the second. You see a lot of mistakes in the second half because players are tired. So that's something we're going to have to look at."
