Stancioiu - 5.0: Described by my work colleague as a "bus driver of a goalkeeper" and this wasn't too far off the money, as Roma scored with all of their first three shots on goal. Made one late save from Vucinic but it was of no relevance.
Panin - 6.0: Generally steady down the right hand side, although he allowed a few crosses in that he could have stopped.
Cadu - 6.0: Was caught out of position at times, and was lucky not to give away a penalty for a foul on Baptista.
De Sousa - 6.0: Similar assessment to his centre back partner. Sound for most of the game, but some lapses in concentration.
Pereira - 7.0: Impressive performance from the Uruguayan, who was up and down the left flank all game. His toe-poked shot led to Kone's goal.
Dubarbier - 7.5: Cluj's best player on the night. His runs down the left wing caused havoc in the first half, and he set-up one gilt-edged chance for Trica.
Muresan - 6.0: Steady if not spectacular was Muresan. Tested Doni with one stinging long-range free kick.
Dani - 6.0: Some nice touches, but also a little impulsive on occasions, wasting possession unnecessarily.
Culio - 6.5: The conqueror of Rome in matchday one, Culio was again dangerous tonight, especially in the first half where he created problems down the right wing.
Trica - 6.0: Did well in the first half, creating a one-on-one chance for Kone. However, he will regret a simply shocking miss on 19 minutes when he fired wide of a gaping goal.
Kone - 7.0: A handful up-front for the Roma defence. Scored one, but could have had a hat-trick had he taken his chances.
Subs: Kone 6.0, Peralta 6.0, Deac N/A
ROMA
Doni - 6.5: Mixed evening. Made a brilliant save to deny Kone early on, but at fault for Kone goal as he spilled Pereira's shot.
Cassetti - 6.0: Did okay going forward, helping create Brighi's first, but caused problems defensively by Dubarbier.
Juan - 6.5: The best of the Roma backline. Showed good pace, and executed a few key tackles.
Mexes - 6.5: Solid at the back alongside Juan, although he was a little slow to react in the build-up to Kone's goal.
Tonetto - 6.0: Did his job at left back, but no more, and was troubled a little by Culio in the first half. Left back is a problem position for Roma.
De Rossi - 6.0: De Rossi is not on top form this season. He is still far too passive in games, and is not the player of last term who used to take games by the scruff of the neck.
Brighi - 8.5: Roma's best player this season did it again with a superbly taken double, one in each half. In the form of his life at the moment.
Taddei - 6.0: A very quiet game from Taddei once again, although he must be praised for providing the assist for Brighi's second goal.
Perrotta - 7.5: Fine game from Perrotta who put the miles in tonight. Got the ball rolling with an excellent assist for Brighi's opener.
Baptista - 6.0: Still not really convincing. Anonymous for long spells of the game, but a couple of good moments, and he was snubbed what appeared to be a clear penalty.
Totti - 7.5: Still searching for full fitness, but his moments of genius were still there, as illustrated by the brilliant free kick goal to make it 2-0.
