Clubs queuing for Carew
Several Serie A clubs are reportedly interested in signing Norwegian international John Carew after impressing at Roma.
The tall Scandinavian, who is on loan from Valencia, has scored four times in Italy's top flight and has caught the eye of several rivals.
Roma are understood to be keen on a permanent deal for the 24-year-old, however their financial difficulties mean they will be unlikely to afford the transfer fee.
The Norwegian's agent Per A Flod has admitted that staying in Italy would be a good move, otherwise he will return to La Liga.
"Of course a good Italian club would be an alternative for John, if not Rome or Valencia. I know that a couple of clubs here are eyeing him," Flod told VG.
"The payments in Rome are not always arriving on time, also it's not as much money as the contract says.
"I think there will be a meeting regarding John's future in Rome in the last week in March.
"We are not that uncomfortable with the situation, after all he does have a contract until the summer with Rome.
"Should nothing transpire there, we he have a contract with Valencia until 2005."
