RomaPress – There are four days left in the transfer window and Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi is trying to get one final piece before it closes. After finalising the deal for Chris Smalling, Petrachi’s last target is no secret: Taison. The agent of the Brazilian revealed earlier this week that he’s been in talks with Roma to bring the player to the capital, however, Shakhtar initially quoted the Giallorossi a price of over 25 million for the 31 year-old. Roma considered the figure grossly excessive, but they still want to bring the player and reunite him with Paulo Fonseca. Talks have continued today between the parties to try and bridge the gap. Taison has already made it clear to Shakhtar Donetsk that he wants to leave the club to make one last important step in quality. Diego Dornelles, the agent of Taison, has been in constant contact with the Ukrainian side and is doing everything possible to bring the winger to Roma. Updates are expected in the coming hours.
