Totti, Join Milan-Kaka'
11/8/2005 1:07:00 PM
Brazilian playmaker Kaka’ has invited Roma idol Francesco Totti to join AC Milan.
“Sure I would like him to play with me. He would fit fell in the Selecao. Seen as I’m staying at Milan for life, I think he should catch-up with me here,” the former Sao Paulo star told reporters yesterday.
Kaka’ tried to imitate the Azzurri’s number 10 last weekend when he attempted to lob the ball over Udinese keeper Paoletti, but after failing the attempt he strangely excused himself with Paoletti.
“I admit. After my attempt I went to say sorry to Paoletti. I didn’t do the gesture to make fun of him, but I saw that he got mad and so I thought of telling him that I just wanted to try out a trick,” he revealed.
Also Ancelotti reprimanded the young Brazilian for his trying the ‘spoon’.
Kaka makes Totti call Tuesday 8 November, 2005

Milan forward Kaka has spoken of his desire to play alongside Roma captain Francesco Totti.
Kaka, who is enjoying a fantastic spell at the club since joining in 2003, is a huge admirer of the Italian and feels that the two would complement each other as a strike-force.
"It would be fantastic to play together," he said. "We’re the same kind of player. We’re always looking to score great goals to entertain people."
But far from hinting at a possible move away from Milan, the 23-year-old was at pains to point out that he had no intention of plying his trade at the Stadio Olimpico.
"I want to stay here until at least 2010," declared the Brazilian. "Totti would have to join me at the San Siro."
In his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the South American also revealed his belief that the Rossoneri are a much-improved side this season.
"This Milan team is stronger than last year’s," he added. "It’s more experienced, more mature and more prepared."
Kaka may be right. Following their win over Juventus two weeks ago, the giants have closed the gap on the League leaders to two points and have since battered Udinese 5-1.
Their Champions League progress is far from assured, though, and if they are to erase the painful memories of last May’s Final defeat to Liverpool by winning the tournament this year, Kaka and Co need to negotiate tricky ties against Schalke 04 and Fenerbahce. |
